Working With People With Disabilities – A Guide for Responders”
“Working With People With Disabilities – A Guide for Responders" is a 26-minute training DVD designed to help personnel from emergency medical services, fire, and police, and others work effectively and compassionately with persons with disabilities.
"Working With People With Disabilities" was produced by the Baltimore County Fire Department in cooperation with the Baltimore County Commission on Disabilities.
The DVD was intended as training for emergency medical services, fire, and law enforcement personnel who respond to emergency incidents involving persons with disabilities. However, it includes information useful to anyone who works with persons with disabilities, including first-person accounts from people with a variety of disabilities.
The DVD is available for training purposes, free of charge, from the Baltimore County Fire Department. To request a copy, email Fire Director James Korn, jkorn @ baltimorecountymd.gov; or call 410-887-4860.
