Please be sure to consider the following
when implementing your PAD program:

• Clearly label your AEDs with your organization's name, phone number, and a serial number.
• Develop an internal emergency response system - a plan of action for immediate contact of available designated AED operator(s) and the EMS system - Emergency Medical Dispatch Center (911)
• Advise Emergency Medical Dispatch Center as to the exact location of the patient (i.e., building, floor, suite, room, etc.)
• Ensure that all persons trained to use an AED and other key personnel (i.e., security, etc.) know where to find the AED.
• Make a written schedule to be followed for the maintenance of the AEDs).
• Require / urge all AED Operators to participate in your county's* Recertification Program for AED Providers.
