Ladies and Gentlemen,

I welcome you all to the innovative New York State Department of Health, Bureau of Emergency Medical Services and Trauma Systems Learning Management System (LMS) Vital Signs Academy.

This LMS is associated with the Vital Signs Conference to deliver educational content in a newer more innovative way.  www.vitalsignsacademy.com

Instructions to access the LMS and to the 2019 BLS protocol Update. Please distribute to all providers.

Here are some of the highlights:

-ALL providers in the region MUST enroll and complete
-All providers must have a current, active email address to proceed.
-PROVIDERS IN THIS REGION MUST TAKE THE LONG VERSION
-Upon completion providers should print certificate and submit to their primary agency.
-Once all providers in your agency have completed the online education, with certification, agencies should submit a current roster with update completion dates and copies of certificates to EMSTAR Program Agency.
-To remain active providers in the Southern Tier Region, online education must be completed by December 31, 2019.
-Providers who have not completed by December 31, 2019, will be referred to their agency Medical Director. Notification must also be made to STREMAC and Program Agency. Providers will no longer be credentialed in the Southern Tier Region until such time as they have completed the process and appropriate notifications made.
