September 16, 2009 Memo from Bureau of EMS [PDF file]
NOTE: This Advisory contains the most current information affecting EMS providers and agencies. Please note that this advisory is an update of the Bureau's previous advisory and provides the current guidance regarding patient presentation, exposure reduction techniques, general communication recommendations, and protecting the provider and family members. All EMS providers are strongly encouraged to receive the seasonal flu vaccine from their healthcare provider. Since EMS is considered in the Phase 1 priority target audience for the H1N1 vaccine, we want to encourage all EMS Coordinators and every EMS agency to identify, dust off, or develop plans in conjunction with their respective medical directors and local public health to identify locally, the manner that the H1N1 vaccine will be made available for appropriate EMS providers.
